Sing Therapy - Tea Break

Put the kettle on and get comfy…

Singing is so good for us - whether we think we can or not, but for so many of us fear has kept us from getting started.

Welcome to my blog.

Here you’ll find gentle reflections, encouraging anecdotes, stories and practical tips to help support any inclination you may have to explore singing and enjoy using your voice.

I come from Cornwall, a place of granite, sea air, chapel hymns and singing in harmony in kitchens, cars  and cathedrals. Singing has always been part of my life: from village choirs, clifftop theatre to opera stages, all kinds of bands,  jazz clubs, and everything in between.

Along the way, I’ve had my ups and downs, grief and great joy.  Throughout  it all, the voice has been my constant companion — not just as sound, but as an authentic way of being.

For more than 30 years I’ve worked with singers of every kind, but my deepest delight is helping adult beginners find their spark to freedom and pleasure in their own voices.

I believe - I know - singing isn’t about perfection. It’s about expression, connection and communication, with ourselves and others. It's our right (whatever they told you!).

So, think of this a casual tea break with me: a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect on what your voice might open up for you.

Oll an Gwella,

(that’s Cornish for all the best - it’s a little gift from my heritage to yours!)
